September 2nd offered opening day for raspberry picking at Winchester’s Wright Lock Farm.  The organic berries can be picked by hand and if the sun keeps shining there will be more berries than ever.  Thanks to the rain this summer the harvest is greater than last year.  Wander the rows and fill up one pint container or more. A pint is $4 and a discount will be given to larger quantities.  The hours for berry picking are 9 - noon on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and 1 - 4 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  The field will be closed on rainy days and occasionally for ripening.
