The 4th of July is just around the corner and is a great highlight of summer here in Winchester and throughout the North of Boston area!  Whether you live in Winchester, or are planning on visiting friends and family in the Winchester area this weekend, you’re probably what you can do to celebrate our nation’s freedom.

- This unique celebration will feature a proclamation of the Declaration of Independence by Reverend Jonas Clarke and the British Response presented by General Thomas Gage. Lexington Militia member, Levi Mead will give a stirring announcement of Lexington’s Declaration of Independence to recount the town of Lexington’s own history. Along with these speeches of historic importance, the Colonial Singers will entertain with song! This event is free and open to everyone- don’t miss out!

 

Lynnfield

44th Annual 4th of July 5k Road Race

- The Lynnfield Athletic Association 44th Annual 4th of July 5K Road Race is open to everyone whether you live in Lynnfield or not!  All types of runners and ages are welcome!  If you enjoy running or want to get out with family and friends to support the Lynnfield Athletic Association; you’ll want to take part in this fun event!  You can register online prior to July 4, or from 7:30-8:30am the day of the race.

 

Arlington

July 4 at 6pm

 

- On the 4th of July, Arlington will again celebrate America’s birthday in style at Robbins Farm Park. There will be musical entertainment from the John Penny Band (starting at 7pm), refreshments, and of course, the Boston Pops Orchestra and Fireworks on the giant screen (fireworks start at 10:30). The event is free and open to all!
