It’s that time of year again to do some spring cleaning done in order to give your Winchester home a fresh start just in time for the warmer seasons. Winchester residents, however, are not just focusing on their own homes in Winchester, but on our environment as a whole!  

This Saturday, April 30 from 10am-1pm offers a great opportunity for Winchester residents to clean up and give back at the 2nd Shred It & Share It event!  If you’ve been saving paper in order to recycle it, or are leery of throwing your important documents in the trash, you’ll want to bring them to the Town Hall parking lot where the Shred-It company will take care of shredding your stacks of paper. 

Have furniture or other items you no longer use?  Bring those to the Shred It & Share It event as well!  We’re teaming up with the Mission of Deeds in Winchester to donate items that will go to help families in need in the Winchester area.  The Mission of Deeds is dedicating to reaching out to our community and we want to help them help others!  This year, we’re hoping to raise $2,000 to help Winchester families who are struggling. 

The Shred It & Share It event will feature fun things for children such as face painting, balloon creations, and food for everyone!   I’m really excited to be a part of this event again as last year was such a fun time in being able to interact with friends and neighbors and give back to the Winchester community.  Take a look at the recap video of last year’s event.
