Raised in Westport and Cheshire, Connecticut, Sven Andersen is proud to call New England home. As a young man he quickly developed a passion for homes by assisting his father with various housing projects. Sven went on to graduate from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts with a degree in marketing and management. Armed with a strong business background in marketing, a passion for technology and an understanding of homes and their construction, Sven has the knowledge and desire to be creative in how he markets properties for his clients. Aside from his booming success in the New England Real Estate Market, Sven enjoys spending time with his wife Christina and daughters Karissa, Brooke and Paige.

You are now the top agent in RE/MAX New England and MA. How were you able to achieve this?

- I think my level of professionalism and local area knowledge set me apart. Creating a consistent process for every transaction and keeping clients informed throughout that process has proven effective in accomplishing the clients’ goal of buying a home or selling a home no matter what the circumstance.

What certifications do you hold that qualify you as a real estate expert?

- I am proud to be an Accredited Buyers Agent (ABR), a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Certified Negotiation Specialist, a member of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors (CDPE) and a member of the Greater Boston Board of Realtors. I have also been recognized as the #1 agent in Winchester, a RE/MAX Hall of Fame Producer and was in the top 10 agents in RE/MAX New England in 2010. As an Allen Hainge Cyberstar, (one of only approximately 200 in the world) I am able to use technology to serve my clients in the most efficient way I possibly can.

Can you explain your business philosophy that has brought you such great success and has satisfied so many Winchester area home buyers and home sellers?

- I like to say, “It’s better to be something to somebody than everything to everybody.” I think this really captures the approach I take when servicing my clients. I do not sell in areas in which I don’t have familiarity with the inventory and the surrounding area. By limiting my services to Winchester and the surrounding towns (Arlington, Lexington, Medford, Malden, Stoneham, Reading and Woburn) I’m able to provide my clients with confidence that they’re putting their transaction in the hands of a Winchester real estate expert.

How are you involved in the Winchester community?

- I volunteer at the Winchester Hospital; I’m a member of the Winchester Boat and Swim Club, a member of the Winchester Rotary and Winchester Chamber of Commerce. I’m an avid golfer and I organized the Rotary Golf Tournament this year.

What are your favorite things to do in your down time?

- I love to spend time with my wife of 10 years, Christina, and my three girls. I place a strong emphasis on family and stay in close contact with my two brothers, parents and in-laws. I also like to stay active. I enjoy yoga and am an avid tennis and golf player. I even have a driving net in my backyard in Winchester.

What is your favorite gadget and how do you stay on top of the most current trends in technology?

- IPad2 is my favorite device. Some of the apps I use on a regular basis are Facetime, Imovie, Insta-paper and Log Me In. I like to sit down with Laptop Magazine as well as iPad and iPhone User and iPhone Life to keep current on new apps and technology. When not immersed in technology I enjoy playing Scrabble and reading Zinio.

What are your goals for the future?

- My goal is to grow The Andersen Team by consistently providing the level of service I demand myself as a consumer. I want all of my clients to become raving fans. If I don’t receive 5-10 recommendations from every client I service or assist, then I don’t feel I am doing my job. The most rewarding part about my job is when a client thanks me for my assistance before, during and after their transaction.

Sarah Amico was born in Amherst, MA and moved to Arlington at the age of 5 where she was raised and continues to live with her husband of 3 years, Angelo. Active in the town of Arlington, she has coached Pop Warner cheerleaders to a third place finish in the Greater Boston League.

A full time real estate agent in Winchester and surrounding towns (Lexington, Arlington, Belmont, Medford, Stoneham, and Melrose), Sarah recently graduated from Salem State University with a BA in American Studies and Psychology.

When not working with the Andersen Team, Sarah enjoys exploring the Winchester Fells with her dog Hobbs recently adopted from the Baypath Humane Society in Hopkinton. She would love to travel to London, Paris, Ireland, Spain, Switzerland, Germany and all the other wonderful places she visited while backpacking through Europe.

Sarah’s interests include seeing Bon Jovi and U2 in as many venues as possible, advocating pet adoption and dining out. She is currently compiling a list of the best places to get tapas in the area!

Sarah is focused on working with buyer clients for the Andersen Team. Her enthusiasm, work ethic, and knowledge of the local real estate market guarantee that buyers get the attention they need in today’s challenging environment.
